A level media production brief 2022: Television
Brief history of channel , links to other channels
BBC THREE - British free to air television programme launched in 2003 to replace BBC Choice. the service's remit was to provide innovative programming for a new target audience from ages 16 to 34. 0% was original, covering all genres, including animation, comedy, current affairs, and drama. Some comedies on the channel are "People just do nothing" and "Impractical Jokers".
E4 - Another British free to air television programme, similar to BBC3, its target audience is same. Aiming at 16-34 year olds. It has shows like "Brooklyn 99", "Friends","How I Met Your Mother". "Big Bang Theory" and even popular animated tv shows like "Rick & Morty". Its most successful broadcast to date was on 11 October 2010 when an episode of The Inbetweeners pulled in over 3.7 million viewers.
People Just Do Nothing is a British television mockumentary sitcom, created and performed by Allan Mustafa, Steve Stamp, Asim Chaudhry and Hugo Chegwin.
The Office is an American mockumentary sitcom television series that depicts the everyday work lives of office employees in the Scranton, Pennsylvania, branch of the fictional Dunder mifflin company.
My product would most likely be aired on BBC Three because the type of shows "people just do nothing" and "the office" are show that they are all quite low budget and very British. People just do nothing is a show that is a grime comedy/ mockumentary meaning replicating the humour would be easy and natural for a a television production. The target audience would be mainly teenagers as they would understand the humour better but it wouldn't be specifically made for them and ages above can still watch and enjoy.
